Allwyn is assessing potential secondary stock exchange listings in London and New York following its recent merger with OPAP. Group CFO Kenneth Morton stated the decision depends on maximizing shareholder benefits across its European and US operations.
Financial Performance and Merger Integration
The operator completed its €16 billion acquisition of Greek lottery provider OPAP earlier this year. Allwyn reported first quarter results in June, noting an 8 percent rise in total revenue to €2.39 billion and a 21 percent year-over-year increase in net revenue to €1.2 billion. The company now manages OPAP’s existing listing on the Athens Stock Exchange, where shares trade at €13.86. Morton indicated the secondary listing aims to improve liquidity and expand analyst and investor coverage. He noted the group wants to "secure the biggest possible benefits for our shareholders" through the move. Partis Solutions advisor Paul Richardson previously projected a six to nine month timeline for a potential US market debut, contingent on verified execution of the merged operations. The evaluation coincides with broader European market shifts. Flutter Entertainment closed its secondary London Stock Exchange listing on 12 June after a review highlighted in the group’s 7 May quarterly report. The LSE has seen up to 88 companies delist or relocate their primary listings in recent periods.The group initially announced plans for a secondary global market listing in October as part of the OPAP merger agreement. Shareholders approved the combined transaction during a February vote, with Allwyn recording strong ballot support for the deal.
