According to BGaming, the studio released the slot game Yokai on July 6, 2026, marking the debut of the ART Collab series. The title was developed in partnership with Portuguese street artist Gonçalo MAR.
Gameplay Mechanics and Features
The slot places players near an ancient Japanese forest adjacent to Mount Fuji. A samurai character monitors the grid, activating reel-slicing animations and initiating the bonus round. Background yokai spirits cycle through idle animations to maintain visual activity. The mathematical model includes two distinct wild variants, cumulative multipliers, and a free spins feature that awards a variable number of rounds per trigger. The maximum payout reaches x8,000 with a 97% RTP. Players may select the Buy Chance option to increase bonus frequency at a higher cost, or use Buy Bonus for immediate access to free spins.
Visual Design and Collaboration Background
Gonçalo MAR provided the design, artwork, and narrative for the project, while the BGaming team handled technical implementation. The grid features the artist’s signature Turista finger-fish motif as both a standard symbol and the main character’s headpiece. This project represents the third collaboration between the studio and the artist, following two earlier initiatives. The partnership originated after BGaming encountered MAR’s work at a Lisbon exhibition. Subsequent projects included an auction of the artist’s pieces during the BGaming Charity Gala supporting DAR Bjorn. Ruslan Shakhlovich, game designer at BGaming, stated that the title establishes the creative direction for the ART Collab collection. The studio positioned the release as the opening entry in a recurring program featuring international street artists. Each future installment will integrate a different creator’s visual style into the slot framework.
