Nederlandse Loterij has appointed Ageeth Bakker as its new chief financial and risk officer. Bakker will join the Dutch gaming company’s board in November 2026.
Bakker departs Bovemij Group, where she held the CFRO title and served on the executive board since 2019. The mobility sector firm specializes in insurance and data services. She concluded her tenure there last week to prepare for the upcoming transition.
Board Structure and Operational Goals
Raymond Knops, chairman of the supervisory board, stated that Bakker’s arrival brings the board to full capacity. He cited her experience in regulated markets and financial risk management as a direct match for the company’s requirements. Nederlandse Loterij operates as the largest gambling organization in the Netherlands and oversees ten established brands.
Bakker emphasized that the organization’s social objectives and market standing influenced her decision. She stated, "The combination of a strong social mission and a leading position in the gambling sector was the primary factor in my choice." Her responsibilities will focus on financial oversight while supporting the company’s community programs and initiatives for sports and physical activity.
The appointment details were confirmed by Richard Hollis on July 6, 2026.
